Overview of the AGPT Program

The Australian General Practice Training Program is the national vocational training program for doctors who wish to train to be General Practitioners. It is a three or four year postgraduate program that leads to one or more of: Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) and Fellowship of Advanced Rural General Practice (FARGP).

The AGPT program is funded nationally by General Practice Education and Training (GPET) and is delivered by 17 regional training providers (RTPs) across Australia. General Practice Training – Valley to Coast is the regional training provider that delivers the AGPT program in the Central Coast, Hunter and Manning regions of NSW.
