Summary of Payments to Practices for GP Term 1, GP Term 2 and GP Term 3 from July 2013
Notes1. Practice subsidy is paid for 26 weeks per term i.e. it is still paid if the GP registrar is on annual leave. 2. Teaching Allowance is paid at $130 per hour. This is paid for the hours of teaching that are actually delivered in a particular week. Teaching is not expected during the weeks when the registrar attends a two or three day workshop, it is not expected during the weeks when the registrar receives a teaching visit and, of course, it is not expected when the registrar is on annual leave. There may be times when teaching falls behind the required hours per week. When this happens the practice should endeavour to catch up on the time and payment will be made accordingly. Teaching time over a whole term can only be paid up to the ‘Total number of hours teaching’ for that term type. |
