Funding for Professional Development

Valley to Coast is able to provide GP supervisors with financial support for professional development in education and teaching. The support available is as follows: 

1) Valley to Coast Supervisor workshops run ‘in-hours’
We will provide these workshops free of charge and pay supervisors’ travel costs and an attendance fee of $800 per full day.

2) Valley to Coast Supervisor workshops run ‘out of hours’ (evenings or weekends)
We will provide these workshops free of charge and pay for supervisors’ travel, meals and accommodation.

3) Approved workshops, conferences and activities run by other organisations
We will reimburse reasonable travel, accommodation and registration expenses up to $800 per full day ($400 per half day)

4) Postgraduate courses that leads to a recognised qualification in medical education
The funding support for these will be negotiated and will depend on both demand and budgetary constraints. Payment will be by reimbursement after successful completion of the course or discrete segments.
